Month of October at Wembley English Academy
A lot of things have happened in the past couple of months in the life of Wembley English Academy. We got involved in different aspects of social media and our academic life is getting more and more colourful, too.
First of all, we have this wonderful website up and running, providing a lot of useful information for our prospective students. Our Facebook page is doing well too: we have more than 1000 likes. If you want to be kept updated about our promotional offers or you want to improve your English while you are on Facebook, all you need to do is to like our page:
We have a lot of surprises to be announced and amazing promotional offers for our fans so it is guaranteed that you won’t get bored if you become a member of our Facebook family.
On the academic side, we have started our cooperation with several other divisions of Regent group. Wembley English Academy is proud to provide English support to the students of Regent Skills Training, helping them to perform better at their assignments.
We have also launched Learning Support, primarily to benefit the higher education students of Regent College, but the service is available for all students of Regent College. It is a fantastic opportunity to improve your English or study skills such as ways of developing effective learning strategies, improving your writing or communication skills. You can also boost your presentation skills and familiarise yourself with various approaches and techniques of critical thinking. All you need to do is to book a FREE 30-minute session in the library on the first floor with Samuel. The Learning Support Officer is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 2:30pm and 5:30pm.
We have started some of our own courses as well, there is a lovely group of Beginner students taking their first steps in their English language adventure led by the Head of Academy. We are delighted to announce that we are launching an IELTS course from 3 November 2014. It is an intensive short course for those who have to score 4.0 – 5.0 on the IELTS to secure a place for themselves on a Higher Education course at Regent College for example. But it is also useful for those who want to improve all their skills in English, as the course includes reading, writing, listening and speaking modules, therefore improve the students’ skills in all language areas. In addition to practising English language skills, students will be given useful tips on how to be more successful at the exam and will be equipped with essential study and time management skills, too. If you think it sounds like your cup of tea, call us on +44(0) 203 697 2200. (The price of the course is unbelievably low, so book your place as soon as possible)
